Benton Street Interior Part 2

May 20, 2020

Welcome back to the blog! We hope we're adding value to your life, whether it be showing you fresh ideas, or giving you a little escape from the day to day.

Our team is so excited to show you part two of the Benton Street Interior! We'll be exploring the second floor of the home, which includes the hallway, playroom, and children's bedrooms. We hope you enjoy! xo - Laurel

The Upstairs Hall

When you first walk up the stairs, you are greeted by an expansive hallway that we turned into the 'study hall.' Our client needed a space for her children to do their homework without too many distractions. We designed this cabinetry solution and created an ideal study hall with lots of surface space and storage. Using these fun double sconce lights from Rejuvenation over a ship lapped wall offers a playful yet sophisticated look. Great for creating a child-friendly space that is also elegant enough to flow with the rest of the home.

This giant scrabble board placed above a cool leather bench is a fun pastime for the kid's but also doubles as a great statement piece!

The Upstairs Bonus Room

The upstairs bonus room was used as a playroom for the kids. We used lots of storage bins and a comfy sectional seating to keep the room organized and stylish.

Boy's Room

For our client's youngest son, we furnished his room with great classic pieces. The bed, nightstand, and dresser are all from Restoration Hardware and are cool enough to last him through his teenage years. To keep a playful charm in the room, we made sure to display his favorite toys and trophy collection.

Girl's Room

We had a blast designing our client's daughter's room! Gorgeous bedding from Annie Selke complimented her dove grey daybed from Restoration Hardware beautifully. Two other major hits were her hanging chair (Serena & Lily) and pink canopy with adorable cotton poufs (RH Baby & Child) for seating. We also loved using this three unit wall storage, which was perfect for storing all of her toys. Great storage is a necessity for children's rooms!

Boy's Room

And for the last room, we have our client's oldest son's bedroom. He has a love for art, so we knew we needed to provide him with an excellent place for him to practice his hobby. A drawing table paired with a numbered side table with drawers from World Market created the perfect spot. Some other mentionable pieces include a chic floor lamp from Burke Decor, guitar wall art from PB Teen, typography wall art from RH Teen and the bed, dresser, and trunk nightstands all from Restoration Hardware.
